sorry i took so long in responding to your kind replies i have been informed that all i have to do is export direct from FCP using IMX PAL (50 Mb/s) settings and thats it email to the digital distribution company who will send ad to what ever tv station you want, no more printing to tape which suites me, well for short projects anyway.

Id say just go for it ive been using cinema 4d for only a few years now.
I came across a tutorial dvd on lynda.com for c4d it teaches you the basics best thing i ever did.
Why not try the demo version first and see how you go?

thanks, yea ive seen those AJA IoHD boxes, i was suprised how light it was, im sure it works fine but for some reason id feel more comfortable if it had a bit of weight to it.

its v10 but i have access to another system which has v11 but i would rather keep it on my system if i could, i know it will take a while to render i will leave it over the weekend if i could get it to work.
would changing global illumination to camera animation make any difference?

The hot keys are all fine i think it had something to do with the wacom tablet, i disconnected that and restarted and now all it fine.
