    Hi Jeff,

No problem. I understand that it takes a little bit of transition time to go to ProAnimator. I think one of the earlier tutorials does mention this, and a dialogue box pops up when you are about to Tweak objects. If you’re unsure if you tweaked your objects, you can always use the “Reset Tweaks” command to get the Objects back to the default position.

    Hi Jeff,

You’re seeing this error message because you tweaked your text. This means you used the Object Mode, and move the text around using the Object Move tools. Because of this, if you try editing the text, this causes the text to shift in position. To move the text, it’s best to use the Move tools in the Animation Controls window. When using the Move tools in the Animation Controls window, you can move your text and still be able to edit your text. Only use tweaks when you are sure you will no longer be editing your text.

To fix this, you can try Resetting the Tweaks, then move the text back to the Tweak positions. If you are unsure what position your text was at, select the Text Block, and go to the Object Controls panel. Go into the Info section and jot down the position of your text. Then, go to the Animation Controls panel, and enter the positions into the X/Y/Z fields.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Mark,

From your descriptions, you’ll want to use the Warping feature in ProAnimator version 5. This allows you to bend your text. By setting Warp Poses/Transitions, you can bend part of the Text back and forth, and you should be able to get the effect you’re looking for. To add a Warp Track, select your Object Track, go to the Track Commands, and select “Add Warp Track”.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi David,

Right. You can either play with the Edge Offset, or manually edit the text outline in the Drawing Window so that the text is really thin. Then you can apply a Round Bevel like Fernando suggested, or create your own bevel in the Profile Editor.

If you have 3D Serpentine, you can try using text as the Serpentine Body, and then applying a round end cap.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Mark,

I’m not sure how you want the objects to wiggle, but one way to achieve this effect is to create many poses, and adjust the Global Scale for the objects. By changing the Scale value from big to small, and vice versa, you will start getting the wiggle effect.

With Layer Cycling, you would be changing the shape of the Illustrator object from layer to layer. Then when you load the Illustrator file as a Layer Cycling Object, it will play the animation using the layers from Illustrator.

    Hi Marty,

Sorry for the late response. I was out of the office for a few days. Glad to hear that you got everything sorted out with the Layer Tracking. Thanks for the update.

    Hi Marty,

I tried entering new values and entering and re-entering the Interface and it seems to take all the values I entered for the Sets.

Can you send a project file to me with steps on what you are doing so I can see if I can reproduce it on my system? My e-mail address is ed@zaxwerks.com. Thanks.

    Hi Marty,

What you’re seeing is that the Set changes do not get update automatically when you come out of the Invigorator Set-Up window. Once you click on the “Update Sets” button (the one that has the 3 cubes), you will see all the changes that you’ve applied.

Hope this helps. Once the fix for the Primitive sizes is available, I’ll let you know as soon as possible.

    Hi Marty,

Thanks for the information. I was able to confirm the issue on Windows. I will report the issue to our development team and have this resolved as soon as we can. Once the issue has been resolved, I’ll send you an e-mail with the fix.

Sorry for the trouble you’re running into. In the mean time, as a workaround, you can go into the “Object Controls” panel, and go into the “Info” tab. Then, unlock the Scale controls, and use the Scale controls to set the primitive size that you need.

    Hi Marty,

Are you able to enter the values for other primitives but not Slabs, or is it just Slabs you are having issues with? Also as a note, when you are entering values, be sure to hit either the “Tab” key or the “Enter” key on your keyboard.

    Best,
    Edward
