I wonder if you may be running into an issue with Anti-Aliasing. Try going into the Output panel, and changing the Anti-Alias setting to 3×3. Then, try doing a render test and see if this helps.
Please let me know if you are still having problems when rendering with 3×3.

June 18, 2013 at 11:54 pm in reply to: Any plans to support Motion 5 with any of your plugins?Hi James,
I’m not personally a developer so I can’t comment on the architectural changes for Final Cut X. Also, it’s not so much of our likes or dislikes of the new version that is preventing the new versions of the plug-in. It’s more of a combination of re-writing our plug-in as well as the lower percentage of users who are using the FX plug-ins that is more of a factor in halting the production of the FX plug-ins. Unfortunately, we have a limited amount of development team each year, so we try to get our plug-ins and features out to the majority of our user base, and we just do not have much of a FX community anymore. Since the release of Final Cut X, things are slowly changing, so we may re-evaluate the state of our FX as it starts to pick up steam.
Thanks for your interest and support in our FX plug-ins!

Does the program crash when rendering with the OpenGL renderer? If you’re not using any bump maps or features that require the Invigorator/Ray Trace renderer, you may be able to use the OpenGL renderer as a workaround while we figure out what is causing the issue on your system.
Also, have you had a chance to work with After Effects and see if it crashes when rendering out of After Effects? If it’s more convenient, you can contact me through email at ed@zaxwerks.com and we can discuss the issue you’re running into through email.

It’s actually the changes in Final Cut X that made us drop support for our plug-ins. If things change, we may end up releasing additional plug-ins, but we do not have any plans at the moment. We’ll be sure to send out a notification if we release new versions of our FX plug-ins.
Thanks for your support, and hopefully you’ll give ProAnimator 6 a try. Its got a lot of new features, and with ProAnimator 7 coming out, it’ll be even more fun with the introduction of advanced lighting setups. Also, if you purchase ProAnimator 6 now, you’ll get a free upgrade to ProAnimator 7.

Have you tried rendering a simple project file and see if it crashes during render? You can just create a simple scene with a primitive and see if it crashes.
If not, there may be something in the project that is causing it to crash. If you are only seeing the crash with this project file, please send the project file to me at ed@zaxwerks.com and I’ll take a look at what may be causing the crash. Thanks.

June 17, 2013 at 4:06 pm in reply to: 3D Invigorator 6.0 for AE CS6 – colors/objects disappear while working in 3D…Hi Aza,
Please send the project file to me and I will take a look at it. My email address is ed@zaxwerks.com.
I don’t need any of the media files or the Illustrator file, so you can just send me the raw After Effects project file. Thanks.

You may be running into a conflict with your new video card. Try going into the ProAnimator Preferences window. Then turn off the settings for “Use Multi-Threaded Rendering” and also “Use GL Shaders in Draft/Final Mode”.
See if this helps with the render. If you’re still having problems, please let me know.

Hi Chris,
No problem at all! I’m glad it to be of assistance.
If you ever run into anything, feel free to let us know and we can try to get you up and running as soon as possible.

Hi Chris,
Try going into the ProAnimator 6 Preferences and turning off the “Use GL Shaders in Draft/Final Mode” and see if that helps with what you are running into.
If you’re still having problems, please let me know.

Hi David,
Once you click on “Update Tracking” it should change the animation so that it tracks the rotations of the spinning globe. I tried creating an Expression where it rotates randomly and the Flag seems to follow the random rotations without any problems. Are you running into issues where the Flag is not following the Null?
