Here’s one answer: Yes they will be. You are correct. The information is lost if you go between projects. Instead do a “Save As” to the new project name and then delete the things not needed in that new project. That’s the three posts listed above.

You pretty well answered your own question here and found a script. You did ask one last question which was not answered and that’s how to create regions with the sub-clip name. I know Excalibur can do this using the “Create Markers” tool with the “Place Marker At Each Event” option, “Create Regions instead of Markers” option, and “Name using the Take Name” option selected. I’m sure Ultimate S has a similar feature.

Vegas 9 is a “Movie Studio” version. The current Pro version is still at 8. Scripts don’t work with the Movie Studio versions.

Scripts don’t work in the Movie Studio versions of Vegas. You need one of the pro versions in order to use scripts such as Excalibur.
Having said that, it sounds like you’ve resized your images after adding the motion and the second keyframe is no longer at the end. You have a couple of options here:
1. Open Pan/Crop and move the keyframe back to the end.
2. When resizing the events, hold down CTRL key.

Click on the “Split Screen View” button to turn it off. Right now you have it turned on and set to “Bypass Effects”.

Change the “Destination” from “Most recent menu” to the actual menu. Then you can pick which button you want highlighted.

Vegas 8.0c is the current 32-bit version of Vegas.
Vegas 8.1 is the 64-bit version of Vegas (and isn’t an “upgrade” to 8.0c). It’s a separate version that requires a 64-bit operating system (which you don’t have) and can even run alongside Vegas 8.0c.

That’s the default which means the left channel of the audio track is going to the left side speaker and the right channel of the audio track is going to the right side speaker. Do you hear the voice out of both speakers on the computer?
