  • If you go to the Titler GUI and go to Help – About, it will tell you the version/build number. The current build as of today is 111213. I do realize that if the Titler GUI never loads, it makes it real hard to get to the build number.

Over the past couple of months we’ve learned a lot about issues and have found that a large percentage of them are related to the video driver installed. As of today, here’s the current recommendation:

nVidia: use the 2.90.53 beta driver
ATI: use Catalyst version 11.10 or 11.11 (Catalyst 11.12 seems to have some issues)

There have been MANY cases where simply updating the video driver eliminated the Titler Pro issues that people were seeing.

  • Steve, the same goes for you. If you start a help ticket then I can work with you to figure out what might be happening and also to give you some things to try.

  • I really need you to start a help ticket at newbluefx.com so I can help you properly. The crash dump doesn’t really help a lot but if you start a help ticket then I can ask the proper questions and get you to try other things.

  • I’ve not seen any particular issues when adding a title on the timeline with other footage and would appreciate knowing more about your system (OS, video card, video driver), your version of Vegas, which build of Titler is installed, and details about your project so the issue could be duplicated. The easiest way to do that would be for you to start a help ticket at newbluefx.com.

Howard, I recommend you download and install the video driver with catalyst version 11.10 or 11.11. Sony does not recommend using 11.12. You will have to download it direct from ATI’s website.

I also recommend that you now update to the current Titler Pro version build 111213.

If you still have issued, please open a support ticket at newbluefx.com and there’s a little more we can test.

The “Check for Updates” option in the initial release – build 111013 – of Titler Pro was incorrect. It was fixed in the second release – build 111024. The current version today is build 111213.

One of the key factors is your video card and driver. If the video driver is not capable, Titler Pro will not work. I’m certainly glad we could get you to the proper video driver and the updated version of Titler Pro.

That’s not how you change the rate of a clip – it’s how you change the preview playback rate. To change the rate of a clip, hold down the CTRL key and make the event longer to make it slower or shorter to make it faster.

  • [Mike Hinkel] “Go to New Blue’s customer support and submit a ticket with your problem.I had issues and got them straighenteded out.”

This is the best advice. If you don’t create a help ticket at newbluefx, we can’t gather the necessary information to try and determine what is happening in your case.

First of all, there’s a new forum here where you can post NewBlueFX inquiries:

    https://forums.creativecow.net/newbluefx

Secondly, if you don’t post a help ticket at newbluefx.com, I can’t gather the necessary information to try and figure out what is common between the people that are reporting crashes versus the many people that are not. I’ve really not been seeing crashes on my system and I know many other users have not as well. Of course there’s so many variations of systems that we can’t test every possible scenario.

I can say: ATI cards seem to have many more issues than nVidia cards.

  • You’re really better off opening a help ticket on newbluefx.com so we can work with you to determine what might be happening in your case.
