Thanks Mike, I did not know that. I must have another issue then as Nero does not like the ts audio file. Will try it again.
    thanks

I’m a little confused, I have the hdr-hc9 which will shoot for blue ray purpose, I have movie stud 9 plat which will render for blue ray purposes but the dvda that came with the suite will not prepare for blue ray? Or will it prepare but just not burn blue ray?

BTW, I see that sony does have a dvda 5.0 download available, is this not applicable to my situation?

I am using dvda 4.5 that came bundled with movie studio 9 plat.
Not sure if the 4.5 handles any thing with regard to blue ray?

Can I even upgrade to 5 from 4.5 coming from an ms9 platinum purchase?

Or can one just prepare the blue ray files generated in movie studio in 4.5 and let say nero8 burn them?

You guys are awesome, Im feeling much more confident about using the hdr-hc9 in hi def.

One more thing, if I may. Do I need to install the software that came with the cam to be able to load to pc for editing.
Have not needed to do so with sd cam to go into say, movie maker before I go into vegas?
Do I still download a .avi to edit in sv?
Guess that is more than one thing, sorry.

With blue ray in mind, would one be better off going with architect 5.0 vs. say 4.5?

If I download 5 will it just patch over 4.5 or is it better to eliminate 4.5 prior to 5 install?

John would there tend to be less of a chance of compatibility issues if on were to use a sony burner vs other brands.

Let me make sure I understood you correctly before I buy one, you have burned bd no issues with the pioneer using dvd architect. Good news as these sync issues have cost me dearly in the past.

    thanks John

Do I have any hi def options with my new hdr-hc9 other than blue ray?

So are you saying that if I film in hd mode that I can simply use vegas ms, render and burn to dl dvd using say, Nero.

That I do not need special discs or burner?

Do I need a special dvd deck to veiw them over tv?

    Thanks Mike

Just so I understand you correctly, if I do paste a photo in between a piece of film, I can still use the pan crop tool to zoom in and out of the photo parts as its length will allow?
