I hadn’t tried exporting directly to a card. I had exported to a folder, and loaded the folder as a virtual volume in panadonics P2 Viewer utility and it didn’t identify any clips.

Hi Mark, I’m afraid I don’t quite understand how to attach the lens flare to a layer through target source… I couldn’t find as you described in CS5.5… can you explain it to me again?

i’d greatly appreciate it.

I’m kinda an AE novice and I don;t completly get how to create a mask (matte?) in AE as it is in Photoshop… but so far the only way i’ve been able to animate the flare is by putting the effect on an adjustment layer, creating a light source (anything other than ambient), and applying an expresion “thisComp.layer(“Light 1″).toComp([0,0,0])” where “Light 1” corresponds to the name of that light… only problem is that if I didn’t intend to have a light source… I get the light effect and any shadows it produces…

you should look into after effects. you can composite a screen with elements, and key frame a camera. lots of tutorials available at aetuts
