  • I’m afraid not.

    I used the following workaround….

Exported an xml from Prem Pro and using that opened the sequence in DaVinci resolve…
then using a ‘Final Cut Pro XML round trip’ option in the ‘Deliver’ section, rendered the project out at ProRes422 with no grades applied, which effectively creates a media managed version of the ungraded sequence – a new bin of trimmed clips and a new XML file.

    Hope that helps, good luck.

PS. If you happen to find a better solution, please let me know…

  • Thanks for the help Justin. So many great features in Prem Pro, just some small but handy things I feel still lacking, will be submitting a few feature requests myself.

    Thanks man.

Walter… Wow! That script is absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much, you’ve been such a great help. If you’re ever in London UK give me a shout anytime, I definitely owe you a pint 😉

And thanks to Roland too, that’s another really handy little shortcut…

    You guys rock! 🙂

Walter.. that is absolutely brilliant!! Thank you SO much, that really has made my day! 🙂

One more related question… Once the selected layer is centred in the active view, is there a way to tell the layer to face the camera?
(Using “Transform – Auto-Orient” seems to make the layer permanently stick to the camera)

    Thanks again!!!

Thanks for the reply Daniel, but I have the same problem using a custom cam.

I’ve attached a screen grab of the style of infographic I’m trying to create.

It’s quite complex and I need to be able to build and add shape layers and text in position as I go along.
But every time I add a new element and convert the layer to 3D, the layer re-centers itself way back at the start of the composition.

    Many Thanks.
