Wiki didn’t have the name, but this guy in Atlanata seems to know all about it (and it *was* the Company of Science and Arts).

I think it was the company of Science and Arts.

The Chris and Trish Meyer book, Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects, is a valuable resource too. I’ve used AE since 1993 when it was COSA, but I still learned a lot from that book. The Peachpit press book is good too.

I mostly use AE instead of FCP for scaling, motion tracking/stabilization, and time remapping. AE’s scaling is better than FCP’s, but as for time remapping, I think it’s mainly that I’m so used to AE. A quick Easy Ease In and/or Out and then tweak the handles. Motion Stabilize goes crazy sometimes in AE, but again, I know how to use it.

  • I get the same thing all the time. It’s QTs problem.I’m compressing a 1280×720 16:9 video right now to MPEG-2, and when I open it in QT it says it’s 720×404, which it is not. Don’t worry.

  • Why did you de-interlace the source? Was it interlaced to begin with? If so, why?

You can add AB batteries to any of them. Have you thought of looking at JVC’s site, where they tell you the difference between all the cameras? They should know since they make them. 🙂

This is what Matrox says about the Express card slot on MBPs:
    >>>The MXO2 must be connected to the express34 slot to function on a MacBookPro and requires the full bandwidth from the express34 slot to work.

Since the full bandwidth from the express34 slot is exclusively needed for the MXO2, it’s not possible to connect the MXO2 to an eSATA port or allowing a passthrough for eSATA drives. Therefore, there isn’t a workaround possible to connect both the eSATA drives and MXO2 to the express34 slot.

If you must connect the eSATA drives to the express34 slot, then you cannot use the MXO2 at the same time. <<<<<

  • Do it Progressive. And why are you going to Mini-DV? Why not keep it as a digital file until you need it in a certain format? You could put it out to DVD or BlueRay and it will stay progressive.

If you had done a simple search of this forum, you would have found the answer too (and you wouldn’t have even had to ask the question!).
