    I received suggestions of:
    1) MPEG-4 codec can be downloaded and then accessed through .avi custom in vegas5. Then used for streamline. Also, use HandBrake.

    2) Convert the HD1080 into HDV or MPEG-2, to be edited and rendered in Vegas5. It would be several generations by the time it is presented, but by using the highest bitrate it would make it still reasonably good IQ.

What do you think of those suggestions? Do you have any others that I can try?

    thnx.

Where is the project properties that has “initial subtitle track” ?

  • Would be nice if VegasPro was enabled with the latest Quadro card, to be just as good as PremierePro is. And, if the EDL was similar to Avid’s. With retail price maintained.

  • With the best NVIDIA card (for Vegas) how is the rendering speed of VegasPro10, compared to the latest PremierePro ?

subtitle on set-top is on, but still no subtitle from burned DVD.

The subtitles are seen when the file is played from timeline on Architect2. That is what is on the timeline when I click “Make DVD.”

Could there be another step for the subtitles to be recognized?

The button above the timeline in Architect2, says “insert subtitle text event.” When played from the timeline and the Preview, the subtitles are shown. Why doesn’t the video from the burned DVD show the subtitles?

The laptop hardware profile only shows RW, does not show R. I’ve recently burned(with DVD Arhitect2) and successfully played back(Sony deck player) a DVD -RW disc. I’ll try another deck, but for the moment i’m glad for this.

    Question:
In DVD Architect 2.0, the saved project can be opened and played back(with its subtitles) from the timeline. But, after I burn it, I play it back on the DVD set-top player, and there are no subtitles.

Am I rendering a different file than the file that is played back from the timeline?

The Preview shows the subtitles, and, the timeline shows the subtitles. However, the subtitles seem to not have been burned to DVD. Suggestions? thnx.

The pc DVD hardware profile says activated/enabled, and the DVD Architect was showing a rendering time (waited 1.5 hours).

The pc DVD hardware profile shows the detail only as “DVD +-RW” (does not show “R”). Could it be that the DVD hardware can only use RW discs ?

Because you mentioned to check the set-top player, i also checked my laptop burner hardware profile(says DVD +-RW).

The Sony set-top DVD player has sticker that says :
    DVD -RW/-R
    DVD +RW/+R
    CD -RW/-R & MP3
