Make sure you have installed Resolve 8.2.2 (available on the BMD web site) and then follow the steps in the post linked below:

Now that you have installed 8.2.2, go into Resolve Preferences and set the panel type to None. Save the preferences and exit Resolve.
Restart Resolve. Go into Preferences and set the panel type to (whatever panel type you have). Save the preferences and exit Resolve.
Restart Resolve, and the panel should be working.
If not, it’s possible that if you have the panel working with MC, that Resolve can’t get control back. To test that, reboot the Mac, and launch Resolve first, and see if it works then.

Remove the file below. This will reset the WFM positions to the factory default:
/Library/Preferences/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/WFM.cfg

It seems there is an issue with the 8.2.1 release and panel daemons. There will be a fix shortly. In the mean time, if you still have the 8.2.1 beta3 dmg, reinstalling that should fix the panel issue.

Try downloading and installing the CUDA 4.0.31 driver from the NVIDIA Driver Download site at this link:
https://www.nvidia.com/object/mac-driver-archive.html
Sometimes installing another CUDA driver will fix weird problems like this.

In Mac System Preferences, open Energy Saver and make sure the Graphics mode is set to Higher Performance.

The issue is the 256MB VRAM. 1GB is a general minimum. 512MB might get by for a few nodes depending on resolution.
As Peter mentioned, running with a timeline resolution of 720P (1280×720) will help. But probably not much. If you need to render 1080 files, you will be in trouble.

That is correct. No OpenCL on Windows. CUDA only.
