I do have the Magnify center linked to the position of the glass and this would work perfectly BUT the glass is 3d and it’s position is also being affected by the camera in the scene.

It could be you’re trying to use GPU acceleration. Try going into Project Settings > Video Rendering and Effects > Use > Mercury Software Only

I was having the same issue, it looks like Mercury GPU Acceleration (CUDA) being on was messing AE up. I fixed it by going into Project Settings > Video Rendering and Effects > Use > Mercury Software Only

It’s not really that I can’t get a good track using the Stabilize Motion feature, I can, it just takes way longer to get the same quality track as the 3D Camera Tracker (and I like to save time). Guess I’ll have to add a feature request for this.

Thanks for all the help! I ended up pulling the image out of the Precomp it was in, scaling it to when it’s largest/closest to the camera, Precomping it on it’s own, deselecting Continuous Rasterization on the Precomp, parenting it to the Precomp it was previously in, and then liquifying.

Yeah… that’s a pipe dream for some of us. I’m stabilizing every single shot in this piece I’m working on and have producers making changes every hour – I can’t afford to spend time roundtripping a stabilized shot with every tweak. The concept of a workflow (edit, then color, then vfx, then audio, etc…) doesn’t exist for a lot of us now, everything has to be done simultaneously because the turnarounds are so tight.

That being said, you’re correct.

This just happened to me too! I wasn’t sure what was causing the large file sizes but Warp Stabilizer has to be the culprit. Thanks for the workaround

Thanks Kalle! The mistake was on my end, didn’t change the layer name since I thought calling it “layer 1” was how it was supposed to be written for the expression (or “layer 5” or “layer 6”, depending on what layer is controlling the others). All I had to do was copy the layer name and use that and it worked great.
