I use a 43″ Samsung 4K HDTV with no problem. It’s not top of the line, it’s not a monitor, maybe yours is professional grade, all I can tell you is mine 4K tv, works fine. Usually when BM doesn’t respond its because you’re the only one with the problem. And please understand I’m not being snarky or a wiseass. Does your monitor behave otherwise? With other apps, etc?

  • Hey Ben! I don’ t know if you’re pulling my leg, but sure, I can share. Inside this .rar file is the original LUT which I named SyFy Channel, and about 7 more based on it and adjusted for different exposures. One of them is tilted more towards a greenish warm look, the rest are cool looks. Let me know if you like them.

    Hey Glenn,
The first time I tried it all I changed was the timeline resolution and it worked. Every time since I’ve tried everything, changed the video format from UHD 2160p to 4K 2160p, changed resolution on the delivery page to match (2:39:1) but it just makes the clip smaller on all sides.

Now that I re-read your response that sounds like something I did the first time. Let me try again.
*Yep, that did it. Thanks, Glenn!

But I can write those to my desktop and then paste them into the folder I want to use. But I can only do that with stills I made in the timeline I’m in. Once I leave the timeline I get that other error message.

One of two error messages. One is in a white “Windows” style box saying I can’t save to the chosen directory. The other is a Resolve dialog box saying :
    ERROR
Failed to export still: Failed to retrieve still image from disk, export failed for still 2aa127fc-86a1-48af-9b34-992b29101ebb

Also, I noticed I can create a still and save it while I’m in that timeline. Once I leave the timeline I can’t save it. Oh, and I right click on the still and choose “Export” and “Export with Display LUT”.

Yes. I thought they were portable, like LUT’s, only with the ability to tweak individual settings like contrast, hue, etc. It doesn’t work that way, is what you’re going to tell me, right? I was able to save one more after my post, but the other three wouldn’t save.

Yeah, it does tell you if you have absolutely no excess clip for it to use. If you do but it’s not enough I don’t think it will tell you. Premiere Pro also tells you that it will repeat frames if you don’t have enough excess for it to create the transition.

  • Just as a follow up, I read on blackmagic’s forum that this “phenomenon” is caused by adding the noise reduction plugin on the Fairlight page. So it’s a bug that will eventually be fixed in an update.
