Can’t export .dpx files for use in other projects
I don’t understand why, I just did it the other day. At first I had to save to desktop, then move them to the folder I want to keep them in. I couldn’t save directly to a folder on my c drive called DPX Files. Now I can’t even do that, it “fails to import still” or some shit.
What am I doing wrong? What? WHAT!!??!!… burp…

What is it that you’re actually trying to do here? Export gallery stills as files then trying to bring them back with corrections?

Yes. I thought they were portable, like LUT’s, only with the ability to tweak individual settings like contrast, hue, etc. It doesn’t work that way, is what you’re going to tell me, right? I was able to save one more after my post, but the other three wouldn’t save.

What steps are you doing when importing or exporting the stills and what are the exact error messages you’re getting? I’m not seeing any errors when dealing with saved stills.

One of two error messages. One is in a white “Windows” style box saying I can’t save to the chosen directory. The other is a Resolve dialog box saying :
ERROR
Failed to export still: Failed to retrieve still image from disk, export failed for still 2aa127fc-86a1-48af-9b34-992b29101ebbAlso, I noticed I can create a still and save it while I’m in that timeline. Once I leave the timeline I can’t save it. Oh, and I right click on the still and choose “Export” and “Export with Display LUT”.

Then you probably have some sort of read/write permission issue in the destination where you’re trying to read/write from.

But I can write those to my desktop and then paste them into the folder I want to use. But I can only do that with stills I made in the timeline I’m in. Once I leave the timeline I get that other error message.
