It’s all good!
In the zipped file you’ll find (for each project) 2 screenshots from FCP7, a straight XML export, a Batch List, and a .fcpxml conversion file.
Also made a new Library and imported all the .fcpxml files. I’m on 11, so if you’re not current you should be able to re-import the .fcpxml files into whichever version you’re running.

Excellent question! There used to be functionality for that here, or I’m confusing this with another forum. I’d have sworn we had that here previously.

If you can send a link to the project files, I’ll convert to XML. I can also convert to a FCPX library if you’re going that direction.

I don’t think you’ll get it to work on that machine.
FCP7 relies on QuickTime 7, which requires Sierra or earlier. Since your MBP is a 2017 model, looks like High Sierra is the earliest OS that’ll run on it.

Would you be willing to post a screenshot of your timeline with the photo in place?

It should look like your raw camera files – have you looked at those outside of FCP?
If it doesn’t, could be timeline settings, export settings, workflow issue, or something entirely different.

Well, that was easy!
Threw this together just now… unzip and drop this folder in your templates folder here:
Mac HD / Users / Juan / Movies / Motion Templates / Effects / Custom
Just make the Custom folder in there if there isn’t one already. For some reason, the max slider position in the default channel filter only goes up to 64, but you can drag that number higher in the inspector.

I haven’t seen a non-360 channel blur, but haven’t really looked either. Could maybe build one in Motion?
