Or, you can control the trim of each clip/event individually. Put your cursor at the top of the event, it’ll become a finger. click/drag and it’ll reduce the volume of the event. You cannot increase the gain of the event, however.

Ahh,…you have vegas MOVIE STUDIO. you’ll need to install an MJPEG codec on your system. They’re available all over the web.

Sounds like it’s an MJPEG file, and Vegas 8b should open it. have you upgraded to Vegas Pro 8b?

That’s just one of those tips you’d learn in the pesky training DVD. There are quite a few undocumented features/workflows that the manual doesn’t, and really can’t show. Engineers aren’t necessarily editors/creative people.
That said, glad the tip solved the problem.
ProType Titler is an excellent tool, it just takes some digging and patience to get to the heart of it. Most problems people have with it are related to slower/piggish video cards or drivers.Douglas Spotted Eagle

File | Render As | Quicktime | Custom | then choose the format that you want, or the one closest top the parameters you want.

.mov is just a container. Think of it like a brown paper bag. it can contain files made with several different codecs. Not all MOV files will open in Avid or FCP, just like all .mov files will not open in Vegas.
Very easy to convert to various QT formats in Vegas, you’ll just need to create a render template for the format you need, if there isn’t one already available.Douglas Spotted Eagle

Try reducing your video acceleration hardware settings in your Display properties.

Corel installs DX plugs and codecs. Uninstall Corel, then reinstall Vegas. Or, do a system restore to prior to Corel install. However, it’s entirely likely that the registry crap Corel installs will still mess with you and will require some manual deletion
