I’m not sure how Excalibur or any other plugin would help here?
Coupla things to do.
1-Ripple will move everything. This may be your best option.
2-Group/ungroup doesn’t change sync of anything. Either items are grouped, or they’re not.
3-CTRL+A to grab everything, or use the Selection Edit tool and draw around everything to select it, then move it.
4-Use the existing veg as a sequence and drop it into a new project as a nested veg file.Douglas Spotted Eagle

Blankets are great. Especially moving blankets that are placed 2″ to 4″ away from a wall, or in corners.
Use a hyper on a boom if possible. On the low-cost but very high quality side, the AT 4053 is my fave. Between the lav and the boom, you should have great options. Be sure to monitor, and if you can check the room in advance, do so with quality headphones. There are angles you can choose for the body so the lav picks up less (or more) of the room. Find those angles in advance.
The type of lav makes a huge difference. If the room is very boomy (sounds like it is) then I’d switch to a uni lav vs an omni lav. The AT899 is my fave in that regard. This will absolutely minimize boom in the room, but also runs a slight risk if you place the lav too high, as when talent turns their head, the mic may allow for a drop (or gain) in level.Douglas Spotted Eagle

By “Degraded,” do you mean the noise is affecting the lines of the mask? I’d think it would in DV quality.
Can you post a still of the DV vs uncompressed quality so we can get an idea of what you’re referring to?Douglas Spotted Eagle

Sounds like an interlacing issue. What is the source that you used to create the FRAPS video? Are these rips from the web?

This is one of the codecs you could use, yes. Just did something similar today with footage from the CX7. If your system has iMovie, you can load the footage into iMovie2, FWIW.

you can also use the VASST DVD prep plugin, it’s free on the vasst.com website, and will create the MPEG and AC3 file with one button, and put everything where it goes so there is no confusion about file types, file names, etc.

Duplicate or replicate, it’s all exactly the same until it comes time to output.
Workflow?
Render timeline in Vegas to whatever bitrate I’m going to use for DL media. One project we recently finished completely filled two DL discs, and barely fit, which means that each disc has bitrates of approx 5Mbps. But I digress….
Import all files to DVD Architect.
Set project prop’s to dual layer settings.
Author disc.
Insert blank DL disc, usually a TY +R or Sony +R.
Press the “Burn Disc” button.
Choose the layer breakpoint on a chapter if possible, otherwise allow DVDA to select the breakpoint.
Burn the DVD.
That’s it.If I’m outputting for replication (which isn’t daily, but weekly), then I choose “MASTER” as opposed to Burn. In there, I create two DDP discs, one for Layer 0 and the other for Layer 1. This is what goes to the replicator we use.

Convergent Design box will allow you to ingest over SDI or component (or composite), edit in Vegas, and spit back out over SDI, component, or composite back to your deck with or without T/C.

I’d change media in that case. I do use Verbatim when I’m out of Sony or TY, but have had problems in the past with it. I’m using a cheap DVD burner, not sure of the brand.
If different media doesn’t fix the issue you might try forcing the break point for experimental purposes.Douglas Spotted Eagle
