Hi
Thank you for your thoughts
I did import to CC from CS6. The project was automatically changed to meet CC. However, despite being able to edit and produce a viewable project , rendered through media encoder and watched as required, and saving the project twice; recovering the project to view later I get the wretched error message. I have double checked the clips properties to ensure they are the same , the problem still remains.
Auto save folders are empty so cannot go back in history!
It has been suggested I start a new project, open media browser and import the files again. I tried it with same result.
I have since decided to edit CS6 projects back in CS6 which I still have . From what I have read on the net, it looks as if CS6 projects are not easily imported and edited in Cc2019.
Cheers

Thanks everyone.
I will probably head down the usb route as it would appear that Encore and other like programmes have hit the end of the cult de sac!
Cs6 to encore was , for me, straight forward and I had few issues with it. CC is a great programme and offers much.

Thank you.
Unfortunately I still write dvds of my travels as aged relations like to see where we have been. I also like to view them on a television.
I will install Encore and see how it goes, but I have a feeling your are correct with compatibility.
what confuses me is that Adobe prior to CC2019 refer to Encore!
Thank you for replying

Hi
Had the same problem until I played the video through prem pro cs6 and the audio was there. Playing back through the computer did not reveal the audio. It is a windows media player problem, missing a codec or something.
Keep the camcorder!

Something I hadn’t thought of was a faulty DVD writer!!
Have just had it checked out by a technician and it is working erraticaly,(despite a PC diagnosis check that suggested it was working!!), so I think that may be the cause as Encore was unable to recognise it.I am putting a new one in, reloading Encore and try writing one of my saved projects.Thank you for your thoughts

Thanks for your reply.
Since my first post on this, Encore refused to load past the project page.In fact i got a message to say that the application has some registry problems. I reloaded the suite having deleted all things cs6 and re loaded. Same thing!! Previous to the glitch I had a Nvidia (Gt440)update and I believe that was the cause of my problem.I
I have rolled back the driver and am keeping my fingers crossed!!

Thanks for your reply. The specs on some of these ultra books look good, i7 with 6gb of ram, would suggest Premiere should run. To get CS6 on a laptop requires something quite big and heavy; and I find after 3/4 weeks of lugging one around to be uncomfortable to say the least;hence my temptation with ultra laptops. I also want to cut down on the after trip editing of footage by being able to do the editing after the days travelling.
Thank you for your thoughts and will take my time on this and see how things progress over the next few months.

Tried the media encoder route but I still have some of my photos scrambled.
Checking the sequence in Pro evrything is set up; checking in Encore before building everything is as it should be. However out of the eight photos I have , after transcoding, the first 4 are ok but the remaining 4 are scrambled. Is this a codec problem?
As you can gather I am relatively new to this so please forgive the lack of knowledge with this. I do not have a problem with plain video but as soon as I attach some photos into a sequence then I get this mixed bundle of some and not others being transcoded properly.
Cheers
