When I import photos into pro timeline with the occasional cross dissolve, everything is ok and can be viewed in the project window without any problems. However when I send the sequence to Encore via dynamic link the photos become scrambled. Strangely it is not with every photo. Encore tries to write the encoded sequence but it takes one and half hours to write a 20 min project. When I preview the project before I burn it everything appears as it should!!
    1. Any one any ideas on how to solve this
    2. Is there a sound method of using photos in Pro which may resolve the problem.
    I am using CS5.5

    Thank you

I’d just export it as another file, then encode with media encoder
    and author it from there.

I know its a longer process, but it works without hangups.

    Thanks for you suggestion.
i have never used export and media encoder as relied on dynamic link.
Can you please tell me how this is done. I have already gone to Export and had the sequence rendered and save to my docs. where do I go from here or have I gone about it the wrong way?
    Thanks

open media encoder, drop the exported video into it and pick
    a preset for DVD encoding.

in the audio tab, change PCM to Dolby Digital and set the bitrate
    for 256 or 448.

    import those after encoding.

Tried the media encoder route but I still have some of my photos scrambled.
Checking the sequence in Pro evrything is set up; checking in Encore before building everything is as it should be. However out of the eight photos I have , after transcoding, the first 4 are ok but the remaining 4 are scrambled. Is this a codec problem?
As you can gather I am relatively new to this so please forgive the lack of knowledge with this. I do not have a problem with plain video but as soon as I attach some photos into a sequence then I get this mixed bundle of some and not others being transcoded properly.
    Cheers
