Okay I am hoping even my bumbling with all of this will help some of our other members. I have to admit with red-face I was rendering my files in .wmv extension format not .avi. Big difference!

I stripped my computer to be turned into a state like just out of the package and using my recovery disks totally reinstalled all programs. Then made sure I directed the rendering to .avi extension.

The difference is amazing. Rapid fire rendering times and with a final product on DVD showing super crisp footage. I also re-learned/learned some tricks with Vegas in the process.

I am still using sony vegas and using it from my c:drive.

The previous year I saved my projects to D drive but I dont see how this could have made the difference.

Still puzzled.. It would seem a bit of a severe move to strip my computer and bring it back to factory state.

I did purchase a large external drive for the system but am not using this to store my movie files on when its time to render them. They are saved specifically on C drive which I triple checked.

This is a great feature! I placed track identification markers in my project before burning it hoping that when I had the finished product each track would be identified in Windows Media Player when I played it. Unfortunately Media Player did not recognize my track titles at all. Any suggestions?

Hi Edward: In the basic version of Vegas I didnt see that option with the DVD burning software that comes with Vegas. It seems to only want to burn DVD’s. Am I missing something?

I have never seen the results of this before… when you do this is the result that the footage is as crisp as if it had not been created to show slow motion?

If I continue to need this feature I may have to consider purchasing the full version of Vegas

Hi Ed:

I am not doing anything different than last time. This is the 4th of 4 DVD’s I have made. I first highlight the first frame and then drag the mouse accross the entire movie including where the movie ends and there is closing music. Then select the command Make Movie. Still baffled…. Its rought to want to finish a whole winter’s work of projects and the last few minutes not want to work…

yes i will have some cheese with that whine… grin

Sure open to suggestions…
