converting _ts files to .wav files
I recently returned from Costa Rica with some terrific footage and wonderful rainforest sounds. I loaded up the footage in Vegas and after rendering burned a DVD of the sound only. Now I want to be able to give the sounds to a friend on a CD. How do I convert the _TS files to .wav files so they can be easily copied and burned as a CD to share?

Can you just re-open the original project? Vegas can directly burn an audio CD from there. Just cut it down to size if necessary, add CD Markers, and tell it to burn an audio CD.

Hi Edward: In the basic version of Vegas I didnt see that option with the DVD burning software that comes with Vegas. It seems to only want to burn DVD’s. Am I missing something?

In VEGAS, you go to Tools – Burn Disc – Disc-at-once Audio CD.

This is a great feature! I placed track identification markers in my project before burning it hoping that when I had the finished product each track would be identified in Windows Media Player when I played it. Unfortunately Media Player did not recognize my track titles at all. Any suggestions?

CD track markers (added by pressing “N”) should be identified as separate tracks when burned as an audio CD. Doing things the way I mentioned in the article does that for me. Both CD players and Windows Media will see the separate tracks and I can jump to whatever track I want.
