i’m pretty sure you need dual cpu to run 2 NRS ( renderers at same time ) on one computer..
i believe to run 2 NRS (one computer) you need to assign the 2nd NRS to run the 2nd CPU on a different TCP port. default might be 53704 so the 2nd TCP needs to be different

?? did you recently add any software ??
also ( long shot) sometimes certain software like firewalls will block the 1394 networking which might/could block use of 1394 devices ?? ( again long shot here) = look at firewalls …

actually the TC is is based on the Time line Ruler .. so if you want to start the TL at hr 1 for the current project = FILE – properties – ruler = now change the ruler start time to 1hr ..

IMO this is not the way to look at it .. 3 months ago you would have said that they would NEVER offer DVCpro100 on a camera under 10k because it would cannibaliz V27 & 900sdx!!… panasonic will offer the most/best materials they can for the price $$.. they will put a lens on it that fits the PRICE not one based on if it interfers with other camera’s …

seems to me that if you store to tape as DATA not a play back type file where you need a full video deck that should cut the price far below the AJ1200a. you are looking for STORAGE not a deck.

guessing – just like any media you would need the codec !
i know you can buy DVCpro50 codec ( main concepts) then Vegas should be able to handle those files OR you get a decklink card and load in over the SDI then it would be in the blackMagic codec ..seems to me that for DVCpro100 it should be the same thru Decklink SDI but you are going to need very large/fast RAID hard drives for the uncompressed clips …
