Adjustable Time Code Generator for Vegas 5.0d?
I captured video with GMT set in the date section of the camcorder instead of in the tape TC area. I need to show the GMT on the final video. Is there any way to generate a TC and adjust it? Vegas TC generator is cool, but it starts the clip at 00:00:00, and I can’t make it work for me…I have 20 hours of tapes that have various TC. Is there a script to use in Vegas to set up an adjustable TC generator? Thanks, Dennis

actually the TC is is based on the Time line Ruler .. so if you want to start the TL at hr 1 for the current project = FILE – properties – ruler = now change the ruler start time to 1hr ..

Man…you really had my hopes up!…I adjusted the ruler, that worked..and maybe I’m just a liitle confused, but when I add the video event “timecode” to the clip, the generated time code just reflects start (00:00:00) and stop (xx:xx:xx:) of the clip. It doesn’t register where I set the ruler….Is there something I’m missing here?…If So…PLEASE let me in on it! Thanks

Well, I owe you a cold one!…At least you pointed me in the right direction!…Actually, what has to happen, is adjust the ruler (like you said..)to where you want the time code to start….THEN add timecode as a “Video OUTPUT Event”… NOT as an Video Event FX!….BAM! the time code comes in like nobody’s business! There ya GO! Thanks! Dennis
