what audio format is the sound for the menu?

has the sound disappeared from Encore completely (no longer imported) or just does not play within Encore?

or does the audio only not play on a DVD player?

Ensure that if you have audio during the transition, the audio track does not exceed the length of the video track in that little timeline.

If the video length is exceeded by audio, you will cause even the DVD player to show black between what your are moving from and what you moving to.

I’ve reverted to 5.1.2 and all is fine for now…

  • I too have reverted back to 5.1.2 this morning, because after several uninstalls and reinstalls of 5.2, I just could not get the Decklink to work from within Premiere.

Having gone back to 5.1.2, I now have presets and output from premiere again

not sure about the referenced quicktime, but Premiere is fine with image sequences. We use TGA sequences quite a lot. They can compress quite well too especially when the pictures have a lot of flat colour.

It won’t render anything to the media drives unless you go beyond realtime capabilities. Otherwise it just streams from the drive, as a single avi file would – both are basically sequential frames at the end of the day.

  • I can’t even get premiere to use the 5.2 drivers. They are installed, quite clearly, but no presets available in Prem or realtime output.

Maybe I need to try unistalling and reinstalling too.

(After Effects sems to be fine – it’s only Premiere that’s died)
