Don’t worry about responding not you might be as iv just copied everything into a new project without dynamic linked clips and should be ok if i link the clips to after effects at the end and then export so i don’t need to reopen the project with dynamic links in so it doesnt have to think about it, thanks for your help

I didnt add any new links to the project I didnt add any new files to the project, the first time it happened I had adobe premiere cc opened at the same time and was exporting a video via the encoder from cc, the i opened the project, is there something in there that could of triggered it. I have since uninstalled premiere cc but no difference

Ok when I try and open the after effects composition the spinny thing spins and it freezes, i have a deadline by a weeks time so need to fix this asap, would reinstalling make any difference?

It’s been ok before ie the past 2-3 months, i recently installed a trial of adobe premiere cc, could that have something to with it? would it work by relinking media that is pending? I’ll try what you say and see if that helps, thanks

it’s working fine on other current pro projects where I’m working with bigger AVCHD files, it’s just these particular AVCHD files, 335GB of space. I just converted the movs using Adobe media encoder into proxies, quicktime, jpeg 2000 640×480 and make a new project in pro then make a sequence from clip and still with these jpeg2000 files it’s stuttering like pro can only play 1 out of every 5 frames and when i play the clips in quicktime all is fine, any ideas and I would be extremely greatful?

As I say I haven’t had a problem with AVCHD before so that doesn’t really help…

Hi Steve, Mpeg Streamclip doesn’t give me the option to turn it into Apple ProRes 422, it gives the option to turn into Apple Intermediate Codec but will that lose quality?…..

I don’t have compressor on my computer unfortunately as the directors computer I’ll send it to has FCP and I don’t. My project contains MOVs and when I go into Adobe Media Encoder and try and import the pro res codec under the quicktime selection it says incompatible video codec which seems to suggest it won’t let me make any pro res files because I don’t have FCP on my computer so is there absolutely no way of making a pro res file if you don’t have FCP.

The crux is I have this project file in Premiere Pro CS5.5 which contains the original MOVs and time adjusted movs that I nested and turn into F4vs, so it contains movs and f4vs with 1 aiff file and I need to send the work to the director(who has FCP7 and works on a Apple computer) so they can key out the green screen and grade it in FCP7. I don’t want to send them 1 big video file because there are a hell of a lot of fast flickering cuts so would be easier if they could view as a project file in FCP7 like I can see it in Adobe Premiere Pro. I haven’t done this before as you can tell but someone must of tried doing this before so how can it be done?

My project settings in Premiere Pro are

Hi Declan, I have F4v files I need to transfer with a XML from premiere to FCP and have been trying to convert the F4vs to Apple Pro Res but have been unsuccesful , I need to convert them into Prores with the original MOVS also converting into prores so they can be opened by the director in a apple prores project in FCP, any advice? Sorry but I’m a a alien to media encoder, this is the first time I’ve ever looked at it and want to make sure I have it spot on! After I import the nested sequences I leave it on what it says already, Format- F4V, Preset- Match Source Settings. I’m exporting these files as F4Vs now.

When sending the XML file to be opened up in FCP another computer. And sending all the individual files along with the actual XML project file- so the individual files I’ll send are the original Movs and these new F4Vs used in the project sequence, will these F4V files open up properly in FCP and everything be A-OK!?

Hi Im a complete novice as you can tell- what format do i output the nested files in encoder to to put them into premiere?
