Hey thanks for the reply. It’s greatly appreciated.

What ended up working for me was to just copy the source media to a new folder and then when I go to reconnect to that new file, I just hit “return/enter” even though it was grayed out. Somehow it worked. Weird.

Dave, thanks for the link to that article. It did seem to help. Basically what it led me to do was use Color Management in AFX upon rendering. I tried out a few different options: HDTV, Apple, Adobe, etc… and it seems to be closer to the original than the Animation codec left alone.

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions! Unfortunately none of the worked for me.

But I did try export through the ProRes codec and it worked great. Not sure why though considering, at least I thought, that the Animation Codec was the highest quality. Anyways ProRes will work, until I’m screwed and need to render out a clip with an alpha channel since its not supported with the ProRes Codec.

Glad you think its rad. And just a little tip for next time you have a question about something: first try copying and pasting the link into your browser and just click around the site, usually you can find out a lot about something by doing some investigating.

These are really rad plugins that are free. They make for rad effects and they come in handy a lot.

Awesome that fractal tip was perfect.

ONE PROBLEM IM HAVING: I can’t get the cool color treatment they have. I try coloroma on another fractal precomp and then I change the blending mode on the precomp and all the effects come out very lame. Its not even close to the cool color treatment that Emmy spot has.

Any suggestions for a nice coloring effect to get that twinkling look?
