  • Yes, and i tried visting support for the minimum specs, and for the past 3 days it has been down. I only see the colorbars error page.

Can anyone from BM give input on the minimum and recommended specs for the ultrascope.

    thanks

  • Yes, you will need to do it this way to fix that problem.

    Boot into SL dvd
    Open Disk Utility
    Verify Disk
Repair Disk if errors are detected.
    Reboot into actual SL drive.

Do not run Disk Utility within SL. It cannot repair an active disk properly. Use your SL dvd.

  • Hmm… In my case, i have a project with different resolutions on several sequences. When i move that FULL HD sequence into an SD sequence that is the time that the secondary monitor goes out. Or when sequence a is full HD, then sequence b is SD, and when i move one from the other the screen goes out as well.

    How is yours working?

You are most probably exporting to SD right? Have you tried rendering the entire project into a single file? Then grabbing that single file for export?

  • What did you do to bring in the drop shadow? Video effects under Perspective?

  • Alternately, you can also export all of your 720 clips using compressor and then match the codec appropriately then bring it over at PPro

    That should work also

I believe the current version of the MPE is it works out of the bat wether you get a high end card on the entry level card.

More knowledgeable people may have better answers

Also, that card looks scary 😀

  • A word of caution here, FCP is able to fluidly use the secondary display monitor as a full screen, raw, and preview monitor.

With Premiere pro it is not like that. When you jump from sequence to sequence you will need to trigger the SEQUENCE > PLAYBACK SETTINGS > EXTERNAL DEVICE > SECONDARY MONITOR to activate.

It does become cumbersome if your working with 10+ sequences and you want to preview on your 2nd monitor. Also there seems to be no way to make that string of commands into a HOTKEY.

    FYI

  • That is odd, I have a 17″ Macbookpro with FCP and CS5 working together nicely. Can you start it out by going to DISK UTILITY, then hit REPAIR DISK then VERIFY DISK. That might solve it.

If that doesn’t cut it, tell us more on what you have done so far

Actually think of it as a way to work seamlessly between your FCP projects and as you transition to Ppro.
Premier Pro has no beef with have codec you choose. It will still play and render, but sometime with a slew of codecs to choose from, it does become confusing.

So if your coming from FCP and has used Apple Pro Res Files exclusively, your files will playout.
But as you do more projects on Premiere Pro being able to edit native CODEC (red, p2, etc) will be liberating.
