Honestly, as someone who’s always open to technological innovations, I’m not entirely sure what to say about this. Recently, I made a video for someone I’d worked with before – someone incompetent who only directs for pleasure because he’s rich – and because he couldn’t comment on it himself, he uploaded the video to Chat GPT and sent the comments directly to me, asking for revisions based on them. The revisions were so absurd that I don’t want to write too much about them right now. But I also see that the days are approaching when technology will support us in this area as well, provided it matures enough to make accurate comments and demonstrate its value. I hope you have a bright future and continue to develop this technology correctly.

I have been using Tahoe and Premiere 24-25-26 for months on different machines, and I haven’t come up with any problems related to Tahoe.

What I am having with MTS files from Sony camcorders is a little different. It was not like this before, but for the last year and a half, when I use MTS files directly, I have been having super slow performance issues, and it is fixed after I transcode them inside FCP. Probably with the latest updates of FCP and maybe macOS, it is getting harder with those files, and they are interlaced too.

No luck. This time original plays perfectly, but rewrapped to MP4 plays with artifacts, and also I tried to rewrap to mov and it lost the sound and plays awfully.

Maybe some digital problems occurred during the transfer. If you can try sending via something like WeTransfer, I can check it again to understand.

I downloaded and tested, but it does not look good here. Even the original or the rewrapped version played awfully on my machine. I have no idea. It plays well on QuickTime Player and VLC.

Just wandering, did you make the timeline setting the same as the video clip?
And the FCP viewer may not show correctly all the time on the computer screen, especially if it is not fit to 100% and Better Quality is selected.
And can you try an export to see if the exported master seems bad, too?

If it doesn’t work in Premiere, Media Encoder won’t help either.
Not sure if this helps, but you may try VLC to convert videos and then import those new videos into Premiere.
