I’ve had the same problem, so I’ve ordered the upgrade for my Video Collection Pro to Production Studio Premium, that includes illustrator.

Tell me about it! I can’t attend either.
I’m in South Africa for me to attend nab will cost me over $6000, can’t afford that, but looking at the program there is going to be some awesome AE training.
Do they record these training sessions to DVD and make them available for purchase?

Maybe Particle Illusion in conjuction with AE can help with this. http://www.wondertouch.com
Otherwise Blender3D’s new version 2.4 has a cool fluid Dynamics engine build in http://www.blender3d.org, so there you can create exactly what you need in 3D, ofcourse it won’t be very easy though, but you’ll be in full control.

Figured it out.
In the color picker, when you click the radio button H S B, or R G B, or L a b, or C M Y K, the color display type changes, I had to select Hue again to get to only Hue values of the color picked.
Stupid I know, but hey, we all learn something new each day.

If you’ve got the 6.5 Pro version, through some ZAXWERKS 3d Invig on the text, (if you’ve got CorelDraw of Illustrator to create vector graphs), will give more dimension to the comp perhaps? With that you can create the whole look of the text anyway, so no more adjustment layer.
Plus a hint of a light in the 3D comp inside the box could also add to realism?
A sine wave type movement should give you a better floating effect? I think, haven’t tried it, just a thought.
Hope I’m not talking to much bullocks hie hie, makes sense to me though!
