    Since your pic only shows the timeline, I won’t comment on any of the design problems you mentioned, but your ramp can be made to follow your adjustment layer using expression. Try something like this on the ramp’s crosshairs:

    adjuster=thisComp.layer(“Adjustment Layer 2”).position;
    X=value[0];
    Y=adjuster[1]+value[1];

    If you’ve got the 6.5 Pro version, through some ZAXWERKS 3d Invig on the text, (if you’ve got CorelDraw of Illustrator to create vector graphs), will give more dimension to the comp perhaps? With that you can create the whole look of the text anyway, so no more adjustment layer.

    Plus a hint of a light in the 3D comp inside the box could also add to realism?

    A sine wave type movement should give you a better floating effect? I think, haven’t tried it, just a thought.

    Hope I’m not talking to much bullocks hie hie, makes sense to me though!
