invigorator 4 not opening .ai files created from CS2
i even tried saving to legacy versions of illustrator, invigorator still gives me same dialog box: there are no usable vector paths in this file

How “legacy”did you go? Try saving out to Ilustrator 8.

thats exactly what i did. maybe i need to upgrade invigorator?

When saving your AI file, make sure the ‘compression; option is unchecked.

I’ve had the same problem, so I’ve ordered the upgrade for my Video Collection Pro to Production Studio Premium, that includes illustrator.

Well, unchecking the compression option should have done the job 🙂 But, Illustrator is a great product to have anyway.
