thats too bad

well, would it be possible to film something at 60i, then bring it into a 30p project and do some interpolation, or deinterlacing? I know the quality would take a slight hit, but if its possible id at least like to check it out

I havent been getting good performance no..
Unlimited RT only has ‘full quality’ and Use playback settings…
not what I’m used to..

Anyway, this is the format simply for working in final cut, i want good performance and at least close to 100% of what the final quality will look like,
true frame rate is important,

my projects are feature films, 852X480, 30p, pixels are square
i’m capturing from a Canon GL2 in 16:9

anyway,
I know my project compressor and my final export compression can/will be different,

the final destination for these is in a file format, not necissarily DVD, i want the aspect ratio to be what it is above (the corrected 720X480 16:9 res)

so,
I guess this has become two questions, what should I use for working in FCP, and what should I use when exporting the final, completed movie?

it didnt the previous time..
perhaps the order in which i powered on the devices was wrong.

hmm

Well, I’ve tried daisy chaining it, (into HDD, from HDD into comp)
but when I tried to use it in FCP, it said it can’t access the video device

thanks for the suggestion, but that doesn’t turn the camera off..
my concern was really with keeping settings for longer than just during a shoot..
