FYI – Premiere Pro got re-written again in 2010 with the shipping of CS5 which became a native 64-bit application on both Mac and PC.

While I haven’t received one yet to play with, one of the limitations with previous NVIDIA cards is a thing of the past. A single K5000 can support 4 monitors. If you’re using an Adobe workflow, we do not support multiple cards yet, so I would argue that there is little value at this point to having more than one K5000.

Definitely not. Ain’t gonna happen. Count on Mac support.
As for the FCP X more pro list, I like it. Of course, what one person’s ‘pro’ is not anothers but it is a good list. I will point out that most of these FCP X vs. Legacy features are catch up to the rest of the industry. Then again some are new ideas on old themes (like multi-cam), so it’s all good.

For item #1, nope we don’t do that. As for #2, I would like to see that native within Premiere Pro as many others would.

One thing to consider possibly is to look at Prelude. You can do a ‘partial ingest’ when transcoding. It’s not ideal, but it’s another approach.

When you’re in the export dialog box of Premiere Pro or the Setting box of Adobe Media Encoder, you will see a check box to not encode audio or video.

Sequence presets almost don’t matter because of the way Premiere Pro handles video codecs and frame rates. As a rule, I’ll pick a sequence preset based upon what the majority of my footage is.

one other thing to try is to see if there are dropped frames with VLC player.
