    thanks !

I never had a RAID setup, but now it sounds achievable.
2Gb RAM, no problem, that’s what I wanted to get.
Dual Monitor ? Sounds cool, … never had it before, and I don’t know if I’ll want to do that or not.
Good book on Premiere ? Yeah, I think I’ll need one.

For RAID, do I need a drive for system files ? I thought in some configurations system files themselves can be on the RAID.

oh.. I thought that Matrox RT.X10 does have an video-out for monitors. Not sure about Matrox RT.X100 though, but probably the same thing.

    that’s what I swear by.

I use it to load everything up, and then rename files to what’s inside of them. All before even opening Premiere (I have 6.0)
Makes editing much easier for me.

    thanks,

the background will be dark, not white, but I guess I can use a green screen.. something to try. Or just sew another cloak.

Yes, it’s possible. Both in Photoshop and in ImageReady. I think that ImageReady may even have more features for creating droplets — that’s what these batch jobs are called by Adobe.

    Anyway,
    * open a picture,
    * open the “History/Actions” window (may already be open), go to Actions, create a new Action.
    * press Record Button, and then resize the picture to your liking. Press Record again to stop recording

    * File, Automate, Create Droplet, select your droplet and save it.

You can also later specify droplet settings like where to save the resized image and tweak other options.

I’m somewhat going by memory here, you may have to tweak and play with the settings to get it working right.

If this won’t work in Photoshop, try ImageReady, it may be easier there.
