    There is (kind of). Press Shift-3. Multiple presses cycle through the windows.

  • You can use the slip tool (Y) which will slip the audio in place or you can unlink , move just the audio then relink, or make sure nothing is selected, then alt or opt click the audio track (this selects just the audio), then move the audio as necessary.

  • Yes it is possible to line up audio exactly. Go to the program monitor, click the drop down menu and select ‘audio units’ (not sure of the exact name as I am away from my computer). Your time line will now allow you to move audio at a sample level resolution . When done, switch the setting back.

  • This happens when you don’t have a big enough window to display the effect. Even so, when you keep scrolling down it will disappear if it starts to scroll off the screen.

    If you don’t want to resize your screen, you can press the ~ key to temporarily toggle the active window fullscreen

    Its ok, although CS6 doesn’t have a specific preference, the loop option in the program monitor achieves the same end.

  • You might want to look at expressions to do achieve this. I provided an aep file for a similar requirement which you can download from here:

    3942_orientobjectaroundcirclularpath.aep.zip

    The description on the file should provide some help but basically there is one layer which acts as a path, the object you want to follow the path, and a controller object which allows you to change the start point and speed.

  • Ist, use normal horizontal text, then use this expression. The “\n” appends a newline at the end of each number

    x = "";
    for (var i=200;i>=0;i = i-2)
    {
    x+=i+"\n";
    }
    text.sourceText=x;

    I don’t get all those options so it may be different depending on what version you have. I am using CS6 on Mac. Screen shot below.

    Thanks for pointing out the ‘Play work area after rendering previews” this has always annoyed me. Gotta love the COW !!

    My timeline does exactly as you describe. When it reaches the end of the timeline, it just stops.

    Check is that your program monitor doesn’t have looping enabled. See image below

    1. This is how you get the program monitor menu up.

    2. If you have a tick here, it will loop. Untick this setting

    February 5, 2014 at 4:17 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CS6 odd Audio Dropouts

    I moved all my media to an internal drive and this improved things, but it still drops out occasionally using multichannel audio files. Using the separate audio files doesn’t seem to result in drop outs.

    It would be nice if PP had a performance meter (such as can be found in Cubase), that shows you whether its struggling.
