Is it possible to slip a clip 1/2 frame so audio will sync?

You can cut audio up to 1/48000 of a second. Video cannot be cut or moved less then 1 frame.
Set timeline to audio units (panel menu timeline) for easy editing.

Yes it is possible to line up audio exactly. Go to the program monitor, click the drop down menu and select ‘audio units’ (not sure of the exact name as I am away from my computer). Your time line will now allow you to move audio at a sample level resolution . When done, switch the setting back.

Ok I found the setting to switch to units – do I need to un-sync or un-link it from the clip to move it?

You can use the slip tool (Y) which will slip the audio in place or you can unlink , move just the audio then relink, or make sure nothing is selected, then alt or opt click the audio track (this selects just the audio), then move the audio as necessary.
