I put them above and below. That pretty much locks the battery in and keeps it from going anywhere.

Some shooters, as I have, installed pieces of velcro to support the battery in the camera, rather than allow the plastic tabs to support the battery’s weight.
I used the loop side of the velcro which is stiffer than the pile side. So far my battery tabs have remained intact. I did the same for my P2 Store.

By the way, for anyone who is experiencing the initial stages of cataracts and is considering surgery, there is a lens implant that will mimic a natural crystal lens.
This means that you’ll regain the ability to “accommodate” different distances as you had years ago. No more reading glasses.
Some opthamologists are suggesting this implant instead of Lasik surgery if the patient is over 50. Everyone will eventually develop cataracts and the thought is that it’s better to go through the trauma of eye surgery just once — rather than get Lasik at a later stage in life, then have to go through cataract surgery several years down the road.

It’s 500 GB and goes for just under $185. I paid about $90 for 250 GB SATA drives just a few months ago. Since then prices for the larger drives have come down considerably.
I learned a lesson a while back and only buy what I need at the time. As prices fall, what I spend goes down as well.

If you’re using the Firmtek Express 34 adapter, then why not use the Firmtek hot-swap RAID enclosure as well (model 1EN2)? You’d be able to set it up with a pair of 500-gig Hitachi drives for a terabyte of storage, and be able to expand on that for a very reasonable price.
Take a look at what Other World Computing has to offer. I just ordered another 2-drive hot-swap SATA enclosure from them. I have two more running on my G5 tower. They’ve been working flawlessly for a couple of years now.

Not to be facetious, but if you’re wearing glasses, you might want to visit your optometrist and see if your vision is properly corrected for the distance you’re working at.
You could be suffering from basic eye strain, trying to focus on something that’s just not in the right range.
This is assuming that you’re suffering from presbyopia like me (the eyes are getting older and less able to accommodate different distances).
I now have two pairs of reading glasses: For close work at arm’s length. And for really close work, like about a foot or so. I just don’t like bifocals and prefer to have a larger field of vision — thus the extra pair of glasses.
To think I had 20/15 vision just a decade ago!!!

I have more than 4 terabytes of storage space and associated Firmtek hardware from Other World. A couple of the drives came through with problems and they replaced them immediately… which is quicker than quick.
