  • Missing font, how do i figure out what was originally used?

In most applications, if you are missing a font that was used, the application will warn you. FCP does not seem to do this. I have a timeline opened that is accessing rendered files with a certain font. However, when I open the font layer in FCP, the font changes and the font at the top of the list is used instead. Is there a way to identify what font was used so that I can load it and reopen FCP? (v5.0.4 on a G5). Why no warning that my fonts are missing? Thank you.

Thanks, i have used that before when trying to find a font that i only have a printed version of, but this seems like something that final cut would know somewhere. After all, FCP most likely tried to load the font, couldn’t find it, and so replaced it with a default font. When I do reload the font on my computer and reopen final cut, it does seem to remember, so that info has to be stored somewhere, right?
