It can get a bit fiddly but worth it if you have long clips.

<p>We were having the same sort of issues, I took a gamble and got a refurbished drive which fixed our problem temporarily and then the drive died! I think it overheated, it gets really hot inside the unit. <p>There is a clever option in Resolve to have a separate style for any subtitle on the timeline. Underneath the Caption text field there is a little checkbox that says, &#8216;Use Track Style&#8217;. If you deselect this, you can create your own style for that particular caption. Hope this makes sense.</p>

<p>This happens with me from time to time, it is a cache issue. Try selecting the offending subtitle and clearing the cache (Playback -&gt; Delete render cache -&gt; Selected clips &#8230;). Hope this helps. </p>

<p>Compound clips are timelines, if you right click a compound clip you can open in timeline viewer and make your changes there. These changes are then reflected back in the master timeine.</p>

Select all clips in the cut section and hit Shift+Backspace to ripple delete selection. A few more steps but avoids the issue you are having.</p>

If you hold down Option+click the auto-select icon, this will toggle on/off states for the other tracks. Also, make sure you do the same for the audio tracks otherwise if the clip you are copying has&hellip;</p>

<p>Resolve combines the audio from the clip into one track. What you can do is right-click on the video clip in the media pool and select &#8216;Clip Attributes&#8217;. From here you can add another stereo track and change the configuration like the image attached. I hope this helps.</p>
