we are working at a frame rate of 24 to out put to 35mm.
I have checked the key frames and they are exactly at those frames… ?
so ?I mean the expression does work now it is more of a matter of knowing what the program is thinking, or how…

Create a mask around the bat… then dublicate the layer… invert the mask on the new layer lable one bat and one background.. now ad a solid red or what ever color behind both thises layers now adjust mask size and feathering until you see the red through the crack between the two layers … ad a blur effect to the solid to sofen it til you like how it looks…

go to the point in the time line where your In point it.. hit shift+command (control If your a PC weenie) + D the layer will split .. HIghlight and delete what you don’t want

Yeah quit using avid and get on the Final cut band wagon.. or laking that. there is a app out ther just for this, I can’t remember the name but it has the word Duck in it…
Avid is a pain in the but because of there insistance on the OMF to opperate inside their Platform. HOwever It is my understanding thet the new liquid line will accept quickitime and other formats which will make it much easier to jump from other applications to avid. . .Final cut uses Quicktimes as their primary media source, the OMF over the last several years has been a magor bain on Avid which is why quick time has been slowly moving on what for so long has been avid territory.. ‘
