At this point it seems to be a pointing game… Adobe pointing at the Cuda drivers and:or Yosemite, while others seem to be laying blame on Adobe. The biggest issue however is users installing upgrades and updates without first first cloning their working boot drive for protection.

It may well be that the majority of X users are on Yosemite, but if you also use Adobe apps with Cuda, better beware of Yosemite and the latest Cuda drivers.

Actually, you didn’t get blocked for the f-word… Pretty amazing, given that I, and many others here, have been blocked for using the word “special-ist” because it contains the letters that spell a popular drug used for male sexual dysfunction.

Apple also released a new version of iOS today, so don’t make assumptions that anything they do per Yosemite has anything to do with FCP X.

And, whatever you do, don’t even think about upgrading or updating your IS without first cloning your working hard drive – many here have been hosed by Yosemite and/or bad drivers because they rushed to push the “all too easy to push button” that Apple sends to their desktop, before testing with Pro Apps.
