Check your deck.. if you’re what your trying to output is DV, is it set for DV? if you want HDV, are you set for HDV?

Just make sure that your sequence settings match what you’re trying to output on the deck. I’ve had that issue on a DSR-11, when trying to output a PAL timeline, but i left it on NTSC mode..

    good luck

I know you were looking at breakout boxes, but if you were looking for a really decent and cheap solution with HDMI and component out, id take a look at Blackmagic’s Intensity Pro, @ $349 its a really decent card, with HDMI i/o. Its PCIe, but only works on Mac Pros (No G5s). Now if you need more than that, i’d go for an Io HD.

  • Hey There,

since you said you only want 2 stations connecting, you might want to take a look at this smaller product from editshare:

    https://www.editshare.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=190&Itemid=189

its for smaller production houses based on their full editshare solution.

    Hey Bob,

do you happen to have the DSR-45 and FW800 drives plugged into the onboard FW ports? if you do.. that might be causing the conflict…

also have you tried the VTR on another mac?

    hmm… I wonder what this button does…
