i have had the same problem and been informed by someone who had experience of this to update my bios to the newest version. I havent tried it yet though

ive just noticed this only happens when playing it back in google chrome. In IE the controls are half covered (as if the frame needs expanding in the height column – however this causes it not to play)
so in short, it seems this issue is browser specific

I would also like to know how to remove the widescreen black bars at top and bottom of a quicktime export from a HD timeline…

no i dont think FLV files play without uploading a player and possibly an .swf file but I’m trying to find a definitive answer to this but cant find it anywhere.
Would a Mac user be able to stream a wmv file okay?

must be quite a large file size if its 720p?
But thanks for that suggestion I’ll take a look. I take it that being WMV means you dont need to upload a player to your website like you would if you used flash? -
yeah I know… has anyone else ‘tried and errored’ and got a workflow that they find works best?

Aaron, with the exporting thing do you mean export as HD mpeg and then import it into another standard timeline with the res adjusted to 1440×1080? What benefit would you get by doing this when compared to just exporting the flash file etc straight from the original timeline?

The only problem is I have already exported all of the ppt pages in 4:3. I’ll just add the right colour background image under the slide to fill the edges out I think. Just a shame it will all be wasted space.Thanks for the advice on the export settings. I’ll work on it all of today and post back if I have any more questions as you’ve both been so helpful 🙂

Thanks again brian I’d really like to get at least 1080i on a 22″.
I’ve read up on both of those devices and am still not 100% clear on what they are!! Are they not capture devices? I take it they do more than just capture? Do you know where I can get a written beginners introduction to these devices for a total newbie? I thought it would just be a case of using the 2nd graphics card output but it seems it’s not that simple?Many thanks
