I presume you first stop using your SD card because once you overwrite the files, then the data is pretty much gone. I will recommend you “remo recover” software to restore deleted video from SD card. Hope it will work for you.

If audio and video is out of Sync, there is option on VLC player itself to fix it and still you facing same problem, then you can use “Remo repair MOV” or any other repair utility to fix your MP4 file.

As JHON ROFRANO suggested you can use media info or GSpot codec to see what codec is used. After using them also, if you are not able to fix AVI files then you can give a try to remo AVI repair software to fix your AVI file. Have a look on it.

May be header file of that footage got corrupted. Don’t worry Nowadays numerous MOV repair tools are available on the internet. I used one utility “Remo MOV repair tool” and this user-friendly software repaired my MOV file in just a few clicks. You can also try it.

First I need to ask you whether it is Windows or Mac OS you are using. However, for both the operating systems, you can make use of Remo MOV repair tool to repair your corrupt MOV files. Though you can try the free applications, but I suggest you not to do this, as these may corrupt your file even further. The tool which I suggested here is paid software, but you can use its demo version just for a check.
