i have now figured out what is causing it but i dont know why its causing it…
i was trying to make a composition in the FINAL COMP longer… when i stretch it out, and then try to select any of that area, AE crashes imidiately….

thanx man,
that sounds good, but i might just try to do it in flash, as it seems over complicated in ae…
because im trying to get the sort of effect like in thhe oldschool game OUTRUN… but from time to time i would want a bush, or a tree or house to show up on either side, and it would be difficult to do this on ae i think…

GENIUS!!! would never have thought of that… many thanx mate!!! off the top of my head, if i wanted to create a road with bushes or trees on the side would it distort the image?
and if not, would i just create duplicates of this image so the trees are looking different and in different position every time it loops?

ok, that makes sense, but im sure there are other techniques to make a street continue looping while a character is walkinng in its place to make it look like its walking down the road forever…
do you know maybe what this cycle animation technique is called? like looping something?

yep that’s what i tried to do but it didnt work and seemed to mess everything up.
no worries, ill just do the first option of moving poisition properties and then with the pen tool fixing the path…

im not sure exactly what you mean by target position property…i’ve tried pasting the path onto the position properties but it didnt really work…

is there any way to disable the 3d plaine for particles? in my comp, i have a cmera and loads of othe layers, when the particles are in a different comp they animate how i want them, but when i put them into the comp with the camera (which animates in a circular motion around the comp) the layer which contains the particles doesnt stay flat on the screen and moves out of place..
