that’s a shame… i was interested in making it part of my composition…the rest of the elemnts hav elights on them, and its too complicated to make invigorator’s lights proper like th eones in the comp.

from what i can see and played with, you cant make lights on the invigorator layer to look like spot lights coming from far and ambient lights…or am i wrong?

    thanx for the help.

Ok, but what if for example i wanted to use ambient and spot lights that are in my compositions with that 3D layer… my problem is trying to make that 3D object be part of the rest of the composition, but as far as i know i can only control all that with invigorator which is slow and annoying… I’d like this layer to simply be a 3d object but still accept lights from the composition and so on..

    thanx for the help.

    it gets even worst!

not only is the layer JUST 2 frames long. but when i move the time slider from frame 1 to frame 2, i notice parts of my image MOVE!!! yes, that’s right, MOVE. without me having touched anything, i literally open AE and import them into a comp, move the slider to frame 2 and the picture changes slightly…there’s no keyframes or effects or anything…

    thanx for the help.

just thought- maybe is there some kind of expression which will sort of put the ‘weight’ on the anchor point, that way every time it rotates (with wiggle expression) the movement follows to wherever the weight is pointing?

    thanx for the help.

  • thank you!! will give it a shot right away!

    thanx for the help.

  • hi dan, sorry im an idiot, i had the anchor point in the wrong place!!! thank you very much, you just taught me something very valuable for what im doing!!!

    david.

    thanx for the help.

  • Hi dan,

Thanks for the help. Im not amazing wtih expressions, so i think im dong something wrong.. I’ve tried to apply the expression to the flares position value with no luck, also applied it to the layer’s position value same result…

    am i misunderstanding you?

    thanx for the help.
