Thanx for the reply… Im not good with 3D so im just doing it NORMAL i suppose. There’s a muzzle flash and smoke in the gun, there’s lighting flash on the scene…

what you say makes perfect sense… is there anywhere i can find more info on how to do the displacement mapping ripple thing? that sounds like exactly what im looking for!!!- instead of showing the bullet travel you’ll see it sort of going through the demon’s body…

    nice one mate!

    thanx for the help.

  • I THOUGHT SO… IM SURE I SAW BEFORE SOMETHING ABOUT REMOVING AN ELEMENT FROM A VIDEO BUT CANT FIND THAT TUTORIAL ANYMORE…EITHER WAY, I OBVIOUSLY EITHER USE A BLUESCREEN OR I ROTOSCOPE?

LONG BORING, BUT THE RESULT WILL BE GOOD 🙂

    CHEERS FOR THE TIPS!

    thanx for the help.

thank you guys i’ve got access to a bluescreen studio but its relatively small…ill try and see how it goes with looping the walk cycle..i know it wont come out too great, but worth a shot!!

how are things liek that done in film sets? do they just get an extremely long chromakey background and move the camera on a rail?

    thanx again.

    thanks for the help,

do you know what the best tools in ae is for this? im not good with expressions… would i just use time effects for this? and could i loop a walk cycle + add parts when she’s not walking and blend it to look smooth…? any thoughts of a good plugin/effect for that?

    thanx for the help.

  • heheh no no no NEVER…

i know im pretty new to aspect ratios and sizes and all that but I DO know the difference between pal and ntsc.

    thanks for the tips mate!!

    dave.

  • i’ve tried the ammendments, made the layer same size as comp. still no hope…the line is less offset, but still off by at least 10 pixels.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that i’ve got a dv pal comp with a square pixel layer? i’ve resized it by going to transform-fit to comp. is that wrong?

    thanx for the help.

  • excellent. thank you very much!!

    thanx for the help.

  • unfortunately that’s not an option at all, as every precomp contains COMPLETELY different looking plants/flowers/trees.

GOD I WISH THERE WAS A WAY AROUND THIS! im very frustrated right now…

its shocking that there’s no possible way to select multiple layers and see all of their paths together!!!

    thanx for the help.

  • wireframe was the first option, but of course, AE developers havent looked into paths AT ALL in the past versions, and so when you turn on wireframe you simply see a square wireframe of your layer, instead of seeing the paths alone…

I simply cant believe the fact that AE still hasnt developed a way to see JUST PATHS. the only way is selecting a layer, but when you select multiples, of course, the paths disappear.

maybe a good note for some AE developers to look into?!?

    thanx for the help.
