  • Hi Chris, you were right, I was missing a BIG something 🙂
    Basically I had to strip the blank tape before exporting to tape.
    So I recorded black video for about a minute then reset the TC on the deck and all problems solved. I was then able to export to my deck.
    thanks

  • thanks Chris and Tom

    I tried using Blackmagic Media Express, again I am capable of capturing from my deck but when I want to export to tape after 10 seconds I get a message saying “the in point could not be located”
    I wonder if I have the wrong setting on my Digital Betacam deck! Sorry I am a novice and any help is very much appreciated. thanks

    My Pac Pro early 2008 just died on me 🙁 I think its the motherboard. I dont know what to do now, wait for “Mac Pro 2013” to come out or buy something else!
    Do you know if the new one will come out soon or is it all talks at the moment? Will they announce it soon?
    Many thanks

    thank you Dennis, I had a look at the tutorial video in your link, although very helpful, I am still having problems exporting to tape. Basically what happens is when I try to export to tape, the Beta SP starts fast forwarding until the end of the tape and then nothing happens. Could this have anything to do with the Time Code? I have tried various tapes and still have the same issue. I have set the TV on the SP to External.
    Has anyone got the following setup:
    Mac system
    using Blackmagic Multibridge
    using Sony UVW1800P
    using Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

    Can someone please tell me how to export to tape, since this is Digital to Analog I have having a lot of trouble.

    thanks
    ps. I can capture without any issue!

    Back again with another problem. Although I can now capture from the Beta SP, I can’t export to tape from Premier Pro CS6, every time I get a flickering Still image with “Playing on video hardware” in several languages. My device control settings is correct as it is set at Blackmagic. Has anyone experienced this and is there a way around it?

    Thanks

    I figured it out, I updated the driver for my Multibridge and now I can see Blackmagic in Premier Pro’s capture devices list.
