I know it is a bit late for my reply, but I always export from Premiere as .AVI and then allow Encore to do the encoding as it does a pretty decent job of it all

one way is to add an extra chapter marker at the very last second of each timeline, that way when you press the skip button it will go to this extra marker and then roll over to the next timeline, only downside to this is that the last second of footage will show before the roll over

do a Google search for “videogears” (without the quotes), also if you are looking for tutorials on Encore and photoshop then Google “Doogs Adobe encore tutorials”, this should give you enough information 😉

there is a Video Tutorial for doing “multi language” in Encore, if you use “Google” and use this string as your search Query “Encore multi language tutorials” (without the quotes), his should help you,although the tut is for version 1.0 of Encore.

have you changed the PREVIEW settings to 16:9 in the Encore “PREFERENCES”, and then previewed the project to see what aspect it is actually playing back at?, I am not familiar with QT files at all as i have never worked with them. You could try exporting from Avid as a .AVI file and then import this into Encore..

UPDATE…
My tired old eyes and brain has just spotted something in the menu, after i have RENDERED the menu with the video thumbnails and then I change the links for the said buttons from the timelines to the MENU and then I move the buttons to a new location on the menu and go to preview, it is the MENU with the buttons in their old positions i am looking at, and not the menu with the buttons in their new locations…
hope this clears up the problem….. at last…
gotta get a life…. 😉

have done a new project and recorded what i was doing onscreen, the file is 11.5MB zipped, will get it off to you if you like, just email me and will send, hope this proves a bit more useful to you.

it can be done by cheating….. You need to create mutliple copies of the menu with different parts of the map already coloured in using Photoshop, and then you can use the “auto activate” function of Encore so that when the viewer scrolls thru the menu the auto activate will kick in and show the corresponding menu..it’s kinda like an illusion….of sorts

Been @ this little problem for nearly 10 hours now, I will start another project and see what happens, If you like I will even record all the screen activity and send the video file off to you or off to tech support @ Adobe (if the project works out the same way).

I linked the VIDEO BUTTONS to the MENU and not back to themselves. I have done another screen recording of a similiar menu, and things are way weird with it.. have upped the link over @ wrigleys once again..I just don’t understand what is going on at all now….LOL
