add them to the timeline in your video editor along with the .psd menu and then export as avi , and then use this little video file as a motion menu and set it to loop indefinitely

super clunky it may be… but it works and I have never had any problems with it…
The mainstream Movie called “The Descent” used the same technique on their retail DVD .. -
You need to cheat… or fool the viewer…
It can all be done with multiple menus and the auto activation feature of Encore..difficult to explain in words, there used to be a video tutorial on it, that I and Adam Kampia recorded way back in the day.. but alas they are no longer out there in cyberspace…look up the Encore help for “Auto Activated”

I suppose you could link the button to a chapter marker in the background movie, bear in mind that it won’t be a seamless transition from the playing point in the menu background movie to the start of the actual movie chapter marker…just play around untill you get it all working to your liking, and use a DVD-RW disc for testing purposes… 😉

multiple menus and the use of the button auto activating feature is the only way to achieve what you are asking..

import the audio as an ASSET and then just click-drag-drop onto the menu with Encore.

Keep in mind the DVD-Video format limits 4×3 menus to 36 buttons per menu, and 16×9 menus to 18 buttons per menu. There is also a chapter limit of 99 per timeline.
